Brem was on the planet Frewp, sitting in an outdoor café, sipping the local delicacy and trying to decide where he wanted to go next, when he became aware of the little boy who was sitting on the bench across the plaza. He looked extremely disgruntled, and Brem smiled. He recognized that expression.

In a moment, the little boy’s sister came along, carrying a pink bonnet that she placed on the little boy’s head. Everyone had to wear hats on the planet Frewp.

The little boy pouted, but his sister hugged him, and Brem watched his younger self grudgingly smile.
